Re: The 2019 Hungarian GP Thead
Valtteri Bottas had a couple of installation laps before Mercedes decided not to risk possible engine damage from an engine miss.
The session started with damp patches on the track and spots of rain on the driver's visors. Heavier rain came about a half an hour into the session then soon cleared but had disrupted many teams practice programs. Spins to both Racing Points and also Max Verstappen in his Red Bull.

Re: The 2019 Hungarian GP Thead
A session that failed to do too much at all. It started off damp and became worse.
Alexander Albon brought out an early red flag after clipping the grass with his left side tyres and then ending heavily in the barriers in the final turn. The rebound from the tyre wall even popped his right rear tyre off the rim when landing.

Re: The 2019 Hungarian GP Thead
Well, four great races in a row.
Hamilton spent the whole race chasing down Verstappen before the change in strategy by pitting for an additional set of mediums.
This proved a master stroke with Red Bull failing to immediately cover off the Mercedes pit.
Hamilton then had the tyres to chase down and pass Verstappen, denying him the expected victory.
Ferrari's were nowhere to be seen and most finished at least a lap down on the top two.
