We are pleased to announce a new weekly Trivia quiz on the NewsOnF1 Twitter page.

On every Tuesday during a randomly chosen hour (between 9:00 and 16:00 GMT), we will ask a Formula One related question and the first to reply with the correct answer (within 30 minutes - now extended to 60 minutes) will win a choice of a NewsOnF1 Compact Smart Digital Clock with Alarm

or a NewsOnF1 Stopwatch (1/100th of a second) with clock and alarm

Winners will be announced on the NewsOnF1 Twitter page and on this thread. So spread the word and have some fun

1 entry per player per quizz
1 win per player per month.
Answers will be posted apporximately 24 hours later in the case of no correct answer

Trivia terms could be adjusted depending on the level of interest but only for future quizzes.

No winner in our first TriviaTuesday on Twitter!

The question was:
Name 2 cases since 1990 where a driver classified in the top 3 but didn't make the podium ceremony (driver, race & year)

Hint: The 2 drivers we are looking for are F1 World Champions

You can have a go for fun before we reveal the answer!

TriviaTuesday answers:

Fernando Alonso - Brazil 2003
Nigel Mansell - Adelaide 1991

In both cases, the race was red flagged (stopped) and the driver was undergoing medical checks as a result of a crash.
When a race is stopped, the finishing order is determined by the order 2 laps earlier.

No winners this time but newsguy_holland got one answer correct and provided us with another elegible answer and that was:

Mika Hakkinen - Britian 1994

Michael Schumacher finished second amid controversy and was later disqualified and so Mika Hakkinen who was in 4th was promoted to 3rd.

No winners for the trivia again!

The question was:
Name the last 2 drivers to have scored Pole, Fastest Lap, Win & led entire race (called Chelem or Grand Chelem). Also name the last race for each to do so.

The answer:

Michael Schumacher, his last chelem was at Hungary 2004. He has 5 chelems to his record
and Mika Hakkinen, his last chelem was at Monaco 1998. He has 2 chelems to his record

The most drivers with chelems is Jim Clark with 8

Sebastian Vettel was very close to scoring his first chelem at Silverstone last weekend. He missed it by 3 laps when he lost the lead to his team-mate Mark Webber for his second pit stop.
