Paul Ricard times can be confusing!

It is because there are so many configurations possible.

This week the teams are testing on a new configuration called 2D sc which has a tight layout to simulate Monaco.

On Friday the teams will switch to configuration 1E sc to simulate low-medium downforce configuration of the Montreal track.

Fiorano has two configurations, the normal and the short.

But on Wednesday they were testing wet tyres on an artificially wet track and hence the slower times.

Put it this way, I was surprised too!

And they didn't do many laps either.

Weather forecasts aren't accurate that far from an event!

On Friday Ferrari continued testing at Fiorano with Luca Badoer.

At Paul Ricard 6 teams took part on the final day of testing.
Alex Wurz crashed heavily in the morning session. He was taken to the medical centre and was given the all clear. His car was beyond repair though and the team along with Michelin are investigating the cause.
The teams were forced to switch to a different track configuration as a safety barrier was damaged from Wurz's accident
