Colin McRae MBE(1968-2007)

The rally community, indeed, all of motorsports was dealt a grievious blow Saturday afternoon at the news of the death of 1995 WRC champion Colin McRae; reports from Scotland are that McRae, his 5yo son Johnny and 2 others were killed in a helicopter crash near the McRae family home in Lanarkshire, Scotland......
McRae, who in 1995 became the youngest driver to win a WRC title(at the then-age of 27), was known for his daring, go-for-broke style of rally racing which endeared him to fans throughout the world, garnering 25 WRC wins in his career(he was also runner-up in WRC competition in 1996, 1997 and 2001 and finished 3rd in the 1998 WRC season).
