The first two rounds of the Canadian Triple Crown competition within ChampCar saw plenty of on-track action, with the addition of rainy weather to the equation; Sunday's race in Edmonton, though, was run under "Chamber of Commerce" weather and NHL's Sebastien Bourdais once again proved why he is the one to beat in this year's Vanderbilt Cup chase.

At the drop of the lights, all 17 drivers on the grid executed a perfect standing start(no stalls, no problems) and by turn 1, SeaBass had gotten the jump on polesitter Will Power, leading the early going......until a slower-than-usual pitstop took Bourdais's lead away and gave it to rival Power, with RuSport's Justin Wilson close behind. Right before the second round of stops, Wilson overtook Power for the lead, only to give up the lead back to Power........Power's day, however, soon ended afterwards with steering rack problems. Meanwhile, Bourdais, saving fuel throughout the second stint, managed to leapfrog both Wilson and Power, retaking the lead and never looking back.......though Wilson gave chase to the Frenchman all the way to the checkers.
