Our version of Bernie seeks to expand his Empire at all costs :evil:He loves street circuits for the V8s.Southernman wrote:If Singapore gets a round in F1 which european track would be dropped.![]()
I have heard that Singapore could get a round in the Australian V8's.
With F1, is Bahrain safe? What of the planned Portugese, and Spanish tracks.
Could the British GP go ? Or the San M? Will we see a vastly expanded season ?
The Mountain is a savage Mistress.
It's a known fact that the teams do not jump with joy facing a 20+ race calendar. It ain't easy to run around the world setting up the camp every weekend. With the jet lag and all... Then again with the engine freeze and no tire tests their workloads have been lessened somewhat.Julian Mayo wrote:Our version of Bernie seeks to expand his Empire at all costs :evil:He loves street circuits for the V8s.Southernman wrote:If Singapore gets a round in F1 which european track would be dropped.![]()

Personally I'd like to have a 20 race season. That means 2 additional races. Maybe a South African GP and another one somewhere exotic. Maybe Argentina again. Or Mexico? Or maybe another European race... A Dutch GP perhaps? Dunno really.
British GP doesn't seem to be very safe at the moment. San Marino ramped up the renovation efforts, so, I assume they aim to remain in the calendar for a while yet. Estoril or any other Portuguese GP or a second Spanish GP could creep into the lineup in a few years but it all depends on how much money Bernie can squeeze out of em. A Korean GP is being talked about nowadays.
One thing is sure: I'd hate to see a European track dropped in favor of Singapore. They are all very special. Even Hungary offers some exciting races (mostly due to unexpected circumstances but nevertheless...)

the bristsh goverment have just said that they would help the silverstone track upgrade, at the moment that doesnt look like extra funding but it does mean an awefull lot of red tape being cleared, they also spent a fair bit on local infrustructure, being british i dont think bernie would dare muck about with one of the most historic tracks on the circuit, hoever the like of jackie stewart and his gob could scupper the hard work
scusilo, cameriere. Ho ordinato le patatinr fritte
No dough, no track for Bernie; regardless of the historical background... I like Silverstone and would love to have it on the calendar if I had a say in the mattertifoso wrote:the bristsh goverment have just said that they would help the silverstone track upgrade, at the moment that doesnt look like extra funding but it does mean an awefull lot of red tape being cleared, they also spent a fair bit on local infrustructure, being british i dont think bernie would dare muck about with one of the most historic tracks on the circuit, hoever the like of jackie stewart and his gob could scupper the hard work
