Julian & Graham

I'm completely against the policy of a team with a driver and a "helper" (Graham, please dont call him that,he's a very nice guy and a personal friend).I would love it if he actually beats Schumi in a race(like Monza 2004),but when a driver goes to Ferrari he tends to live in the shadow of Michael. But Rubinho has proved that on his day he's unbeatable, the only problem is he's not consistent and also understand its because of Michael that Ferrari is at the top now.
One can argue that he has all the team support n blah blah, but doesnt a driver needs that if he has to make a team champion???I think mayb he's streched his no.1 status a little longer, but i think he did deserve initially.

I know he is a nice guy and enjoy watching him when he wins but I just described what Rubens does and that is a fact. Friend or not you cannot deny that. In Austria he was winning and slowed down to help Michael. It was clear.

He has been with Ferrari for so many years, tell me when did Rubens test the new car first ? Is that fair ?

Personally, I am completely against a number 1 driver in a team regardless. And I love what McLaren, Williams, Renault do with their drivers and boy we will see fireworks this year. It could even be fun watching Trulli and Ralf fighting to see who can go slower and find an excuse for that :rolling:

Graham,

Mclaren has recently stopped the so called team orders, as Ron Dennis's blue eyed guy-Mika Hakkinen retired.(Remember Australia'98.DC actually let Mika go,same as Rubens did for Michael)These are things of the past, blatantly giving team orders.Do you actually believe in teams like Mclaren,Renault they dont exist???(Mayb not this year in Mclaren. Montoya will show Ron his middle finger if asked to do a favour for Kimi)

Well testing new car/parts :- Alonso tries new spec first in Renault,Kimi in Mclaren has a spare car set-up for him too!!!!

I cant understand, either you hate Ferrari & Michael from the bottom of your heart or your plain jealous of their success
The things you point out about them, i can counter it with the same things which have been done by some team or the other at some time.

Anyway, i hope this season brings the fireworks as expected with the driver combo in the teams. And ya,i think Ralf will win the battle with Truli being the slowest and with the maximum excuses :)

Oh I didn't know there were team orders at Mclaren when Senna and Prost were there

I never said I hate Ferrari. I simply cannot agree with their actions and claim as you may no other team has given 1 driver in their team total support including that of their second driver.

And I am not jealous either. They had some very tough years. What I am not happy about is the situation Formula 1 is in today and a lot of it has to do with Ferrari

Yes Alonso and Kimi test the new car but for 2 days then the other driver takes over. At Ferrari, the new car is given to Michael for a week or even more before Rubens can touch it.

Spare cars, you must be kidding! Michael has the spare car for all the races except for Brazil or when he stuffs up his qualifying.

Obviously we won't agree so lets leave it at that. (I think I read somewhere that you didn't want people arguing yet you seem to enjoy it  )

May the best win in Melbourne .... still too many days to go :(

Hey buddy, why are you having a dig at BAR ? The rightly deserved second place and fought hard for it.
If I use the same analogy, Ferrari only won because all the other teams stuffed up

VTEC..I totally agree the BAR fought hard and deserved the 2nd place last year.Honda engines are powerful!! I've no personal grudge against them, its just a preference...and everyone is entitled for one.

Take a chill pill dude,i'm hoping too JB's first win.

Even though I am hoping Montoya will win this year, the team I fear most is Renault. They have a car that is gentle on tyres and that is a crucial factor this year. Add to that their unreal traction control (which is supposedly even better than last year  ) and they could be unbeatable :(
I just hope for the sake of the sport, no team would be dominant

Also if Honda manage to stop their engines from exploding BAR could be up there. I was impressed by Button's maturity last year (despite all the management stuff ups)

ferrari will dominate, bridestones will dominate

 bridgestone will have no problem competing with goodyear. the goodyears were falling apart last year and this will continue. schuey is the master at saving TIRES. going to my 1st gp at indy cant wait to see big red finish 1-2. look for big texas flag at start line that will be me.

Julian i doubt BAR would be a threat.Though the best improved team last year,i would still want to give them a couple of years to actually be a constant threat to the likes of Ferrari or Mclaren(hmm Williams).Only TYRES will tell.I Just hope though that JB wins his first race this year.

Hi, Guys!! I think only team which will compete with Ferrari is Mclaren....reason being the two explosive and well controlled drivers KIMI and MONTO. In 2004 Schumi used shorter stints to optimum advantages of the tyres, but this year i guess everyone has to be gentle on tyres. This will make ferrari to change their strategy and others can use this to their advantage..........

The point is Kapel, if Mclaren win a race or two and Bar win one and the Renaults win a couple, Schuey is in trouble. :alright:
