apology gracefully and gratefully accepted. I certainly am not anti Renault, or any other team. Certain driver or two perhaps, but without the teams there is no F1.
Have a look at the turbo era for Renaults definition of grenades. I have vivid memories of the Renault rocketships detonating when leading on more than one occasion, in fact I seem to remember a 1-2 detonation when both cars were only a few laps from home.

Max Mosley has indicated that he will be forcing the manufacturers teams to make a choice, whether to sign an extended Concorde agreement or be left out.
Mosley is planning to request this at the next World Motorsport Council on the 22nd of March. He is reported to want entries open for just 10 days immediately following that meeting.

The six teams already in are Ferrari, MF1 Racing, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Williams and the new Super Aguri. It makes sense to open entries soon and then to close them again quickly. Then we can discuss refinements to the regulations before the deadline of the end of June.
It would not surprise me to see some defections next month when we open the entries.
I have got a real determination to see this through. I honestly believe that if F1 is to prosper then we have got to get the costs down so that the independent teams can survive.
There will be provision in the rules saying we could accept a late entry but you can only do that if there is a vacancy.
We are going to stick to 12 teams because of safety. There are six already in. There are three, possibly four, talking about entering and there are five GPMA teams.

Not sure what Max wants, but I'm pretty sure what he doesnt want (like the rest of us, or at least me) is the manufacturers running F1. That would be dracula in charge of the blood bank, or perhaps more like a commitee of dracula's in charge of the blood bank.BlinkyBill wrote:I wonder if Max actually wants the remaining teams to join, or wants to lock them out. Imagine how much that would help Ferrari - knocking out 3 of Ferrari's closest rivals.![]()

In Mad Max we trust
He increases the car weight to save costs and now he wants to drop the car weight to save cost
He dumps the V10 engines for V8 engines then proposes rev limiting the V8 engines. Why not rev limit the V10 and save massive amounts of money.
He forced grooved tyres and now he wants to bring back slicks
He wants to allow only a limited number of changes to the cars during the season so the teams are forced to build 2 or 3 new cars every year.
He is worried about teams leaving due to increased costs but doesn't want to allow more than 12 teams due to safety reasons
Sure, Mad Max is worried about the costs
He has an agenda and if he gets away with it, he will destroy the sport.
Getr rid of him before he gets rid of Formula 1

Easy tiger, he is a politician. He can't help it. If it makes you feel any better, his father is one of the most infamous Britons of last century and the reason he could not get into real politics.
It's just jealousy. Most of his mates are busy ruining an entire country, he just gets to ruin F1.

Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.
