I've started to get into World and African music a couple of years ago. A friend recommended Deep Forest and I enjoyed their best of album. I have an album for Youssou N'Dour (for 7 seconds). Also on African/Rai I enjoy Cheb Khaled's work but especially Aicha.Snowy wrote:Great to see Deep Forest in your list JayVeeIf you dig them you'd love Baca Beyond, Yousou N'dor and perhaps even Ali Farka Toure, However there are two albums that will really rock your boat "Sensual Sensual" by B Tribe and "Freedom (Lets Take It)" by Boukman Eksperyans.
Villeneuve recomended Manu Chao (Clandestino) on his website a few years ago and I got the album and it is worth it!!
Thanks for the recomendations, I will certainly look for those.
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!
There are many we forget to mention here. Apologies to them.JayVee wrote:I forgot to add Enya and Yanni to my list![]()
I just love their music
I am sure there a more that I forgot
So, you're into New Age as well then? How about Vangelis?
