Looks like the new filter has been a truly huge success. I have not seen a new registration for quite a while now. As a natural result this thread slowly turns to a regular chat thread

Certainly not and that post has been removed.

In situations like this, the user is reminded by PM of our rules that only active members can post links. If that user repeats the process then he/she is removed.

So far 39 spam attempts blocked. 3 got through the first step but couldn't get past the second.

We did remove 1 post that we classify as low level spam
