Thanks everyone!

If this continues much longer we will have to take the next step in trying to reduce these pests from entering. It just involves a fair bit of code modification

I believe the next step is due anytime now. Is there a way we could be of help? Apart from reporting those idiots that is.

Thanks everyone for offering to help but at this stage there isn't much more that can be done. We are looking at a number of modifications that are supposed to minimise the number of spammers that get through.

Of the options we are considering is to limit the functions new users can perform until they have a reasonable number of posts.

Such as they cannot post an external link until they have say 3 or 4 F1 relevant posts?

That would certainly help. However they could probably get around that if they could be bothered. Though I must say that these guys probably only have a brain the size of a gnat and the attention span of a goldfish.... not to be cruel to goldfish.
