"Another Website" says that Webbo will be announcing his '07 F1 seat next week. His father, who is part of his management team, says it will be one of THREE offers they currently have.. Webbo is quoted as saying " I wouldnt have left Williams if I didn't have something BETTER to go to, would I?"

Is it a "mellow yellow Webbo" ?

There is a murmer that Webbo will be at RedBull, with Adrain Newey, and RENAULT engines. (Torro Rosso will then run Ferrari mills) The rationale appears to be that Unpronouncable Finnish name will drive alongside Fisi, in 07, and if he succeeds, Mark will be alongside him in '08.
The thing to remember is that Mark is a Renault driver (Briatore), and he left Williams of his own accord. No driver does that without a better seat to go to.
What is interesting is that the movements are happening below the top rung of drivers. Imho this means that the top seats are all confirmed. Now we think we know where Kimi is going, similarly Alonso. Hmmmmm........goodbye Schuey, enjoy your retirement, and thanks for the memories. (including the inglorious ones)

STR may end up with renault engines, RBR doesnt have an out with Ferrari.Julian Mayo wrote:There is a murmer that Webbo will be at RedBull, with Adrain Newey, and RENAULT engines. RBR has an out related to the performance of the mills supplied, compared to those running in Ferraris. Several times the RBR engines have been down on horsepower. There were some serious negotiations going on last friday. These included ferrari engines going to STR.

If I had the money I'd spend it on that kind of talent. Come to think of it if I had the chance to join a team with Adrian Newey in charge of design I'd pounce on it like a snow leapard on a wascaly wabbit!
I agree, they don't seem to have the budget constraints which all but Toyota, and perhaps Honda have......Newey has forgotten more about F1 cars than most of us collectively will ever know......and DC, I am sure, knows that the only way to deal with Webbo is with on-track performance. He will be behind the 8 ball with anything else....and Webbo swings a meaner handbag than DC
