With the competition that 2007 brings, Renault, McLaren maybe Williams, is the perfect opportunity for Michael to show what he is made of, as he has demonstrated before but we all grew used to.

Ferrari will not be able to easily dominate this year.McLaren,Renault and Bar-Honda will certainly give the scarlet team a run for their money.Barrichello has already admitted the the hybrid car is not quite as fast as the front runners in testing thus far.
Ferrari will likely have the most reliable car,but I believe we will see more challenges made to Schumacher this year.
It will be very interesting to watch Michael handle being threatened for postion,I believe he will take it extremely hard because of his domination of the sport and we will probably see him making mistakes and complaining about the other teams and drivers.

.... seriously had Webber broken lap records in testing you would not have said this!

I do hope to see him up there but the Williams just don't seem quick enough

And FerrariFan#1, Michael will be under pressure he never saw before. We won't know how he'll handle it but it may well trigger his retirment. Too bad for him not leaving at the top. Great for the one who beats him (and I reckon Alonso will be the one)

Hey JayVee, I am sure many would love to see Michael retire. There were even proposals to put an age cap on drivers just becuase of that.

Let me tell you, Michael isn't retiring before 2007 and he will leave at the top.

emxgarcia, sound like you're a Michael fan. But what do you mean by 2007 ?

fasthonda, true that Michael hasn't been under too much pressure lately but he is experienced enough to handle the pressure this year. He did just as well in 2003 when it was close so I don't see a problem.
As for the competition, Renault and McLaren maybe but BAR Honda have a big problem with their engines. They'll run them at lower revs so that they last 2 races and that will make them slow

Guys, if Suaber is setting fastest times at Immola!!!!!!!, Ferrari Fan is going to be one happy camper. No backflip, see the other threads. I have really enjoyed all of us getting excited about the Renaults et al. Bernie aint going to let anybody but Ferrari win before 2007. The breakaway looms to the detriment of the sport. Bernie must have a lot of grandkids that he has to provide for, and must be a fantastic family man, because he doesn't give jack s--t about spectators, viewing public, , or most of the teams. I wish somebody would lance his his boil

The times set by Massa in the Sauber at Imola are the fastest this year but they are around 3 seconds slower than the fastest lap at the San Marino GP and nearly 4 seconds slower than the fastest lap set in testing there.

This is the first test at Imola this year and there was only Sauber and Minardi on track so you would expect a Sauber to set the fastest time.
