Having a year?s GP racing and testing to his credit is also advantageous for us so I am pleased we can now formally confirm his appointment to the team
Full Williams F1 StatementIt has taken some while to resolve what I would be doing for 2006, but having tested for Williams late last year, joining the team was the best option for me and I am delighted that we can finally confirm this today. I am looking forward to testing the FW28 and making a contribution to Williams? competitiveness this season

Karthikeyan is a talented driver, guys, otherwise stingy Sir Frank would not have tested him. I know I am gonna take heat for this remark, but so what. I've been watching this sport for 30+ years now, and I took heat for believing in Alan Jones, Didier Pironi, Keke Rosberg, Alain Prost, Michele Alboreto, all the way up to Fernando Alonso.Ed wrote:The Williams F1 team and ahead of their 2006 car launch have confirmed that Narain Karthikeyan will be the teams fourth driver in 2006. BTW: Narain is getting paid to test. This is why most drivers choose to do it.
