The latest weather forecast for Magny Cours is for showers this afternoon (Friday), partly cloudy for qualifying and sunny for the race.

1st Friday practice session starting shortly. Air temperature at Magny Cours is 20 degrees while track temperature is at 30 degrees

Robert Doornbos (Jordan test driver) is the first out on the track.

The Jordan team decided not to use the B version this weekend however Doornbos will testing it today.

Most drivers have taken to the track for an installation lap. Ferrari, Renault and Toyota have yet to go out.

Panis sets a 1:20.563. de la Rosa on a flyer now!

Fastest time from the 1st session here last year was by Barrichello with a 1:15.487
