Well I think it is about time.
He has had a big career in F1 but the time comes and you have to move on.
A few more retirements and a few more fights with Montoya/Raikkonen and Alonso with him ending up losing and he'll be fed up
Nothing shameful about it, he doesn't want to leave at the top, he wants to be pushed out. Many great drivers have gone that path before.
