Martin Brudle on JB's driving
'He drove me recently on the road from Nice to Monaco and his control was just extraordinary.

You just notice it straight away.

His smoothness at the controls is exceptional, even in what was one of those Honda CRV six-seater things ? you

know the sort of thing people buy when they haven?t got the old family-planning thing sorted out.

It was just extraordinary the way he controls the vehicle, the way he shifts and turns and brakes.

I?m not surprised, but it really just stood out. It isn?t just what we see on the telly, it is the fundamental

way the guy goes driving.'

Don't all snigger  that's what he said :o

Martin brundle is in awe of anyone who can start a car, his spannerman used to do it for him.
"this is the BBC....there was a nasty accident on the ...ring road when ex-everything martin Brundle was speeding to the bank with a qheque for a large amount of money. At this stage unconfirmed rumours suggest the cheque was to be drawn from the account of one time hopeful F1 GP winner J....something Button....Police are investigating"..... :sling: :fly2: :notme:

I like the idea of this pleasant thread. I think it's really cool.

I'll take the opportunity to say I quite like Fernando Alonso, despite what I have said in the unpleasant threads. I remember when he drove for Minardi, he put in incredible performances. I think Nando and Schumi share the trait of being able to drive a slow car faster than it should theoreticaly go, which is one thing that makes both so good. (OMG someone writing equally nice things about Alonso and Schumacher! Revalation!)

Intrestingly enough Brundle doesn't like Nandos' driving style which isn't very pleasant I know but I think his opinion is insightful. I like Brundles' comment and commentry, it's well informed and he can relate and articulate with ease. I'm sure Buttons' style is smooth so I'll just leave it there...

Ah how pleasant.

Hello

I thought I was perhaps being a little foolish or optimistic, but in light of your response K I'm filled with a pleasant feeling and will say nice things about just about anybody :D

Your right Fernando and Michael do have that in common and let us not forget they are both world champions :1st: I wish Fernando every success in eclipsing Michael's achievements, he certainly is gifted enough and has plenty of time on his side. Has he not?

I also have to admit I would be very pleased if Jenson got in the way  is that sporting?

That was a little bit too pleasant but it doesn't cost anything to be polite :)

I would like to say in the most pleasant way possible, that I dont think Fonzi will win this year, despite what I said before about Webber, I truly believe Pablo will get it......and as for Button....well we will see......

Snowy,

Martin Brundle is less biased than James Allen in his commentary. Is that pleasant enough :!: :!:
Sorry I don't have anything pleasant to say about James Allen

Which reminds me, does anyone know if we will get our local clowns commentating on F1 in 2006 or the imported ones

Sorry, I sense some unpleasantness (is there such a word  ) so this may be :offtopic: :rolling: :ROTFLMAO:

Pleasant post indeed K :D

I don't think I can reciprocate though

But how about this, I won't say anything unpleasant about Michael on this thread. That is the most pleasant thing I can do for Michael.

:coool:  :rolling: :ROTFLMAO:

Oh and next time you watch a race with Martin and James speaking over the beautiful sound of the V8's , count the times they mention Button and Coulthard and compare with the rest of the drivers. That will be insightful too.
Nothing unpleasant, just an observation :D
