Since Paffett and de la Rosa were confirmed with McLaren you'd expect Wurz to have secured a place somewhere else.
Good for Williams I would have thought.
Webber moving elsewhere would be highly speculative at this stage.

In fact Wurz's move isn't confirmed yet!

This story appeared in the Austrian media and a few internet sites have covered it however at this stage it is speculation.
Williams have yet to confirm their 3rd driver and Narain Karthikeyan is the likely candidate at this stage!.

This story is now confirmed by Williams!

Alex Wurz will the the team's official test and reserve driver in 2006.

Wurz will be the Williams Friday test driver.

Frank Williams said:
I am delighted with the agreement we have reached with Alex. Everyone at Williams believes he will bring significant improvements to the team?s performance, on Grand Prix Fridays in particular, and to our testing programme in general.
Wurz said:
Ever since I met Frank Williams during an International Touring Car meeting in 1996, I have wanted to drive for his team and I am delighted that the opportunity has now arisen. I feel full of energy to be part of Williams? 2006 season attack and look forward to working closely with Mark and Nico, they are quick drivers and I believe that together we will achieve great results. The testing and Friday driver role is a responsibility I am familiar with and I will throw all my experience into it. I cannot wait to start.

So are you saying Webber is moving to Renault ? That is possible if Fisichella doesn't improve this year.

But Wurz driving for Williams ??? Why ??? How old will he be in 2007 ???
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!
