Best seats at Nurburgring?

Post by rc89pl » Wed Mar 25, 2009 4:56 am

I'm going to Germany in July so I thought that I must go and watch the race. Has anyone here gone there?

Prices vary from 166 dollars for Fri-Sun up to 641 for the most expensive seat. Any suggestions on which seats are the best to watch the race? Is the General Admission located better than most tribunes?

Thanks for help
Rafal

Hello Rafal,

Moved this post to this section of the forum as it is more appropriate.

Personally I haven't been to the Nurburgring but generally speaking, General Admission is usually not as good as a grandstand (tribune). You don't have an allocated seat and the few vantage points get filled up quickly so you have to be early. Also you may not be able to see a superscreen.

Grandstands give you an elevated view of the track and if you are high enough the view isn't obstructed by the safety mesh fences and there are usually superscreens opposite the grandstand.

Best places to watch are the start finish line and the first turn, they are usually the most expensive tickets.

Hope this helps and enjoy your trip
