Barcelona test summary (21 to 24 February)

Here is a statistical summary of the testing from Barcelona over the 4 day period. Weather conditions were similar over the 4 days.

Marussia ran with their 2011 car for 3 days while Lotus pulled out of the test early on day 1 due to a serious chassis problem. HRT didn't conduct any testing.

All the other teams ran with their 2012 cars for the 4 days

The final pre-season test of 2012 takes place in Barcelona from the 1st to the 4th of March. It is understood that both Red Bull and Ferrari will delay their start by a day and stay at Barcelona for an additional day.
It is also understood that Lotus will test for the 5 days after missing the second test

I think McLaren are preparing for a last minute upgrade then, and a few other teams might well do likewise.

With the exception of HRT and Marussia, all teams are present with their 2012 contenders

Lotus have fixed their chassis problem and will be present at the test

We will provide updates throughout the test

Day 2 of the final test in Barcelona should get underway shortly. Awaiting fog to clear.

Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, Schumacher and Grosjean are among those testing today

Heikki Kovalainen has recoved from food poisining and will be testing for Caterham today
