2nd: air temperature 3/16 ?C, track temperature 2/20 ?C. Sunny
3rd: air temperature 3/16 ?C, track temperature 3/19 ?C. Sunny.
as reported by Ferrari.

Williams described the third day as ideal.

Thanks, I suspect the 05 cars are going to be more affected by wind.

J.V. appears to be struggling, Webber had an off, which restricted his laps.
The times appear to be fairly close for most of the teams. Would it be a fair assumption to say that Montoya was running light to have that large a margin? 8)

I would imagine the fastest times would have to be on light fuel particulary when doing race simulations but then there is the tyre factor as well.
The gap is large, that is true but given that Montoya and Heidfeld did many laps both would have had the chance to run on low fuel.
At some circuits we have access to lap by lap timing. Not on this one though. That would have helped a little bit. Really though we don't know.

Interseting that the cars are at this stage only some two seconds off the 2004 pace. I wonder if straight line speed came down at all?

I think these cars are going to be more affected by head winds for a start.

That was only in Barcelona. In Jerez and Valencia they are almost as fast as last year. By the time they get to Melbourne they may even be faster ??? And we were told enjoy 2004 as we'll never see F1 cars going so fast
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!
