Post by Ed » Sun Jan 10, 2010 3:28 pm

The 2010 Formula 1 pre-season testing will start in Valencia on the 1st of February. Under the current regulations, F1 teams are allowed 15 days of pre-season testing.

The current F1 test schedule is as follows:

Valencia 1 to 3 February
Jerez 10 to 13 February
Jerez 17 to 20 February
Barcelona 25 to 28 February

There is also talk about a F1 test session in Bahrain as an alternative if the weather in Spain isn't suitable.

We will provide all the information on these test sessions on this thread.

Barcelona Testing

Post by bobthefish » Fri Jan 22, 2010 1:07 am

Hi,

Do you know wether the testing at Barcelona is free to watch? I happen to be there at the time of the late Feb Testing and wanted to go along, but I can't find anyone to tell me if I need to buy tickets etc.

Ben

Hi,

There usually is a small fee for entry to watch the tests. Something like 5 or 10 Euros. When details for the Barcelona test become available, we will post them here.

For the first test in Valencia, tickets are sold as follows:

Tickets for one day in the Boxes grandstand are available for 10€ and 5€ for the General Grandstands. Fans are able to select a 3 day ticket Pack for a reduced price: 25€ Boxes Grandstand and 12€ General Grandstands

No! We are trying to provide updates on an hourly basis as we don't have direct access to a live feed from Valencia

Welcome to our Forums!

That could be the case however testing times can be very misleading and particularly this season as the variation between a full fuel load and a light fuel load is much bigger than last season.

If a team does show consistency with topping the timesheets at the different testing venues then that could be positive sign for that team (just like we saw with Brawn last year).
In my view, I doubt that we'll see a huge gap between the top teams similar to last year.
