Testing continued at Barcelona and Valencia with improved weather conditions.

Williams Driver Kazuki Nakajima set the fastest time of the day at Barcelona ahead of Heikki Kovalainen and Pedro de la Rosa.

13 drivers from 6 teams set lap times.

Ferrari continue testing at this track tomorrow.

At Valencia, BMW Sauber concluded their 3 day private test session. Nick Heidfeld set the fastest time of the day with a 1:12.258, Robert Kubica set a 1:12.293 while test driver Christian Klien set a time of 1:23.857

The majority of the teams will have their final pre-season test session next week in Barcelona.

Final day for testing at Barcelona for Ferrari. They ran a race weekend simulation starting from 3rd practice. Felipe Massa completed his simulation successfully however Luca Badoer had to stop during the final stint of the race due to an oil leak.

Felipe's fastest lap was a 1:20.508 covering 95 laps while Luca Badoer best time was a 1:21.808 covering 75 laps.

The final combined test of the pre-season starts on Monday in Barcelona. Michael Schumacher will be driving one of the Ferrari cars

The final major testing session of the pre-season got underway on Monday with all the teams setting lap times except for the Super Aguri team.

Lewis Hamilton was fastest ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Michael Schumacher. The 3 were pretty close.

Track conditions were damp in the morning drying in the afternoon.

2nd day of testing at Barcelona saw Lewis Hamilton once again top the timesheets ahead of team-mate Heikki Kovalainen and Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen.

The top 3 dropped below the 1:22 mark for the first time in '08 specification cars. They were most likely on light fuel loads

The track was try for the whole day allowing the teams to maximise their time on the track.

19 drivers from 10 teams set lap times.
David Coulthard was substituted by Sebastian Vettel due to a trapped nerve.

Final day of testing at Barcelona saw Jarno Trulli set the fastest time of the day as well as the quickest lap so far in an '08 specification car.
Coulthard was second fastest and Rosberg third fastest.

Testing returned to Barcelona today with 9 drivers from 9 teams present.

New test rules allow only one car per team to test during the season. This test session has been modified from a 3 day to a 4 day session to cater for testing of the 2009 spec tyres however teams can choose when they can test with those tyres hence the fastest times vary widely.

Felipe Massa set the fastest time of the day with a 1:18.613 however his fastest time was set on 2009 spec tyres.

Day 3 of testing at Barcelona saw 10 drivers from 10 teams present. Michael Schumacher tested for Ferrari the slick tyres for 2009.

Sebastian Bourdais crashed the new Toro Rosso heavily but has was OK. The debut of the new car originally planned for the Turkish Grand Prix may now be delayed. (More)

Thank you, Ed. :)

Unless I'm mistaken, they're supposed to run that configuration the first two days, to simulate the high-downforce conditions of Monaco, and then for the third day of their 3-day test they'll switch over to another configuration so that the teams can simulate low-downforce setups for Gilles Villeneuve.

"First day of a three day test that sees Mark Webber running today, David Coulthard tomorrow and Sebastien Buemi on the final day. This is one of the most complex tests of the season as the Le Castellet circuit offers a variety of track types, so that today and tomorrow, we are concentrating on Monaco set-up, while for the final day, the activity switches to a different layout with a long straight to prepare for the Canadian Grand Prix."

Final day of testing at Paul Ricard. The cicuit configuration was switched to the low downforce configuration (1E-V2-SC-Short - 5.255km) to simulate the Canadian Grand Prix conditions.
