Coulthard isn't happy about Michael being pushed in Melbourne

"At one point there were about four or five marshals running from where, several years ago, a marshal was killed, across the racing line to give him (Schumacher) a push, for a privileged service - he?d obviously paid his valet parking ticket beforehand"

Well said Coulthard :coool:

Rubbish.

If a car(not only Michaels) stops in a dangerous spot, it has to be removed as quickly as possible. That has been done in Melbourne and it has been done quite a few times with other drivers before.

Maybe Michael is pushed back on track more often because he keeps calm and knows what to do, while some hot heads(not sure about David) jump out of the car and leave it where it is out of frustration??

Anyway if you dont like Michael you will critisize anything. Coulthard is a regular Shumi-picker...

Im not saying the Champ does everything right, nobodys perfect.

Recall one case please of another driver getting the same treatment ?

Wasn't it Montoya in '03 who was furious after the stewards refused to push him from a similar situation ?

I also think that as this is allowed (selectively) as a safety issue, the rule should state that the driver pushed should then end their race in the pits

In the dim dark recesses of my mind ( a very scary place) I think there used to be a rule where a driver was dnfed for getting " outside assistance"

Wouldn't that be Senna who was pushed after his tangle with Prost ?

But they may have changed the rules to allow for loopholes to be used selectively

From Ferrari's preview, it seems to imply that Michael will be using the same engine.

"One interesting engine detail in Sepang is that Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello will tackle the event with different life spans on their engines. Having been caught out by qualifying rain in Melbourne, Schumacher's engine was changed prior to the race and, having retired on lap 42 of the 57 lap race, the 053 engine in his F2004 M has actually completed around 250 km less than the V10 in his team-mate's car."

So he's using an engine that's nicely bedded in, and all the telemetry says its a good one! :P
