I agree, the Minardi team is no threat to anyone!

Also read that Red BULL are also against Minardi racing with 04 car ?

They are playing politics.

F1 doesn't need this

It seems Minardi got the approval from all teams but the Stewards disallowed their cars. Stoddart will be appealing and if that fails they will attempt to present a modified 04 car tomorrow

I hope that Minardi do race. Do Ferrari deliberately go out of their way to upset fans of the sport or are they just too arrogant to realise that's what they are doing.

I've heard somewhere that there is a clause in the TV rights say there must be at least 20 cars on the grid. Is that true?

Whilst I am not privy to the Concorde Agreement, I doubt that this situation applies to the minimum 20 cars on the grid. Basically there are 20 cars yet 2 of them are non-compliant. Just like when they find 2 cars underwieght for example and exclude them.

It is interesting that Stoddart says Ferrari didn't sign

"Ferrari haven't signed and we won't be running in this (1st practice)session."
"He (Todt) asked me to get Charlie Whiting to present it to him. I did and Charlie doesn't feel it is his job"

while Todt says they won't be an obstacle

"I've always said that if it comes to the teams, and if everybody has signed, Ferrari will not block and will sign. I don't feel that it is up to the teams to decide but it is what we did"

I think the clause says that 20 cars must compete. If a driver crashes in qualifying or a team withdraws due to safety worries or is excluded I don't think that counts-as long as 20 cars are presented at the Grand Prix track at the start of the weekend then I don't think that clause applies...

Yes Lemon, and if we, the customers of formula one make enough noise, then we may get some customer satisfaction. Add your voice, or are you happy with ferrari's arrogance?

Me...no I'm definitely an anti-Ferrari.Well,at least I have been since Schumacher arrived. It seems that wherever Ferrari are, there's something going on with 'interpretation of the rules' or a gray area that pops up-Britain 1998,Austria 2002,USA 2002,this...
I wonder what the Old Man would have made of it...
