Who will cook their tyres!

Post by JayVee » Tue Mar 01, 2005 11:57 am

It will be fascinating to watch how teammates will compare on this one!

I think Kimi, Barrichello, Button, Villeneuve and Coulthard will be gentler on tyres than their team-mates.

Not sure about Alonso/Fisichella or Webber/Heidfeld though!

Trulli and Ralf ? Well they don't need to worry, the car cooks them anyway
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

And let me guess, Webber is the best out there when it comes to nursing tyres :!:

Any credible evidence of these claims or is it just more Graham stirring!

No  I just have memories deep in this aged brain, of montoya flat spotting on several occasions and having to pit, from shall we say enthusiastic driving. Front wing damage comes to mind too

But who hasn't flat spotted their tyres ?

I am telling you Montoya is calmer and you'll see in a few more days!

He's had a personality swap? If that red car is between him and a win, they will both be in the dirt

I would put Ralf at the top of the list. It's easy to cook tyres when you spend the whole race trying to block :bouncec: :crush: :ROTFLMAO: :soon:

I think spiners ranking would be a little bit different:
1.Sato
2.MSchumierda
2.Alonso
3.Montoya
4.?
5.?

What do u think?

Alonso tyre cooker ? Where did you guys get this idea from ?

Anyway it is nearly impossible to ranks drivers like that. The car has a big factor (just ask Gascoyne  )

I was really comparing teammates against each other

And what about the rookies ?

(GMM) Fernando Alonso has admitted he'll have to adopt a smoother driving style to deal with the long-life tyre rule.

The Spaniard, at the wheel, is notably more aggressive than new Renault teammate Giancarlo Fisichella, and subsequently 'much harder' on a set of rubber that'll have to last him a whole grand prix in 2005.

He admitted to eurosport.com: ''I will have to change my ... style.''
