I sure hope he becomes a World Champ. Australia needs one after all those years but I don't beleive it will be this year.
Was just following on with your optimistic assumption

I seem to recall that A.J. was given little chance by the experts , the year he took the title in the Williams

You're at it again julian! I just hope you won't be dissappointed with the Williams come Melbourne

Jonesy won the title with Williams in his third year if I remember rightly. Webber could be better and win it in his second year

Back to testing and this week will be the best indication yet of who is quick as they test in Barcelona (I think)

well Graham, you have forecast that the bridgestone shod ferraris are going to be skating off, the renaults dont have the pilots, the bars are going to hand grenade, the saubers are too slow, the toyotas are too slow and lack the pilots, who should I be worried about. Oh, the Mclarens. One pilot spends his time getting smashed in night clubs, and exposing himself; the other is described in these threads as being dangerous to himself and others. So perhaps I have reason for what I freely acknowledge as extreme optimism. I have seen the guy do things in a car that had the hairs standing on the back of my neck, and guys like the cowangie kid( the original stoneface) were applauding. Still perhaps I should be worried about JV :ROTFLMAO: :bouncec:

not gonna take you seriously and just want to remind you that the guy in the renault in 3 seasons had 1 win, 3 pole, 1 fastest lap, 8 podium and 114 points

your hero has 0 win, 0 pole, 0 fastest lap, 0 podium and 26 points in his 3 season

you can dream until melbourne comes then you'll have a nightmare

Wonder what picks Julian will have for Melbourne!!

That's harsh!

Besides the new Williams hasn't been breaking records

In this day and age you have to be really good (I agree that Webber is) with a really good car (I doubt the Williams is) to have a chance

That I fully agree with
The Montoya/Raikkonen battle is on!

The Renault is certainly looking good and Alonso is superfast and the time wasn't even a qualifying run like Montoya (thanks for the detail times Ed!)

Raikkonen is looking good too. His fastest time was during a long stint which means he could go faster unlike Montoya's lap. Crash doesn't seem to be his fault so McLaren reliability remains a question

Webber and Schumacher still foxing! NOT

Webber looks like he was running short stints but he is 1.5 seconds slower than Alonso

Michael is struggling big time by the looks of things. Did many very short stints, I reckon he isn't happy at all with setup. Many of his runs show him going slower by the lap. Tyres ?
