Red Bull Racing (Jaguar previously) have been setting fast times all winter. Yesterday at Valencia Coulthard nearly broke the track record.
Could have they improved that much or are they just trying to grab attention to try and secure some sponsors

I'd say, no I'd guarantee you that they are sending DC out on fresh rubber and low fuel to put a sensational 'sponsor grabbing' lap.
There is no way Red Bull are going to improve this year. No way. What you read is all PR speak. How could they ? Last year they had a tiny budget allocated by Fix Or Repair Daily then they pulled the plug on them with 3 races to go. Those people working on this year's car, do you really think they would have been really 100% focussed on the task at hand or looking elsewhere ?
This reminds me of Prost and Arrows when a few years ago they used to break track records only for their cars to break completely in Melbourne.
It'll take them a few years.
Wait till Midland starts testing, they'll be so much faster than the Toyota's ...
