Post by Ed » Mon Jan 24, 2005 8:08 pm

The McLaren Mercedes MP4-20 made its debut track run at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona today.

The team will conduct an intesive 5 day test with Kimi Raikkonen until Thursday then Juan Pablo Montoya takes over!

Lets hope they've produced a reliable car!

That McLaren - as always - looks immaculate. I agree with the Editor, I hope it is reliable so we can see some of the best duels in recent memory between Raikkonen and Montoya

The car itself doesn't look that much different from last year but the sidepods are different and are similar to Sauber's

One thing that worried me though is the lack of sponsorship on the front and rear wings. I hope McLaren aren't in trouble financially

I hope this car delivers!

It would be a shame if the car turns out unreliable. I agree with the rest, this is the most exciting driver combination. Lets hope it's not wasted on the sidelines.

I wouldn't worry about the sponsorship. They must be asking for a high price for those locations and why not, imagine how many times we'll see those McLarens on TV jumping from Raikkonen to Montoya

Congratulations to Dennis and his team for signing two of the best drivers today as teammates and letting them race. This is what all the teams shoud do

That McLaren looks fast!

The other teams must be worried!
The Montoya/Raikkonen battle is on!

McLaren are having a private test however today (Friday) they'll be sharing the track with Ferrari and Sauber and so we'll get to see some times!
