Senna's incredible first lap at Donington '93

European GP, Donington 1993.
Starting grid:
1. Alain Prost
2. Damon Hill
3. Michael Schumacher
4. Ayrton Senna
5. Karl Wendlinger
Senna drops to 5th at the start. Then overtakes all four before the first lap is over. And all that on a wet track! Arguably the greatest first lap ever.

Yes that was one of the greatest laps ever. Alonso in Hungary this year does come close

There is some grainy old footage of Fangio, I think he unlaps himself and wins. That is the only one I have seen, on any track, wet or dry, that I would compare to Senna's. Fangio said afterwards that he did not know where he went (inside his head) that day.

When I have a chance....lets see, the kids go back about the 2nd of Feb. Then it will take a week to sober up, then another to find the keyboard.....(no more drunken tapping for this little black duck.....well, not often)
