Ride of the day, Capirossi/Stoner.
Getting hit by the falling piano as he left the hotel, The Gib. That Fella is gunna wear out a lot of psychiatrists this year.
Capi kept his head/tyres and took a great win.
Stoner, a couple of hours on the Bike, missing all three test days, and the wet 1st practice, a brilliant 6th.
Red Mist Home Gp ride of the day
Pedrosa, wore out his bike, and himself for a brilliant second.
Smart ride, Elias.
Elias, Pedrosa, and Stoner imho have said move over old farts WE ARE HERE.

The Mountain is a savage Mistress.
A great race with lots of eventful action and as you say the young guns are coming. It would have been interesting to see Sete being mugged by Dani, so we were robbed there and it would have been interesting to see if the Dr had sorted out his problems from qualifying. However with him on the back foot the championship should stay alive for a lot longer than last season. I'm looking forward to Dubai a week saturday for more action packed racing.
Lewis Hamilton & Jenson Button World Champions
What a way to start the season
A brilliant race by my standards, especially seeing Rossi crash out on the first corner(but what sets him apart from other ri\ders is his determination to continue). unfortunate fo Sete though, I was really hoping he would do well this race......
Well done to Capirossi, taking a win at the first race of the season will certainly boost his confidence. He did a very good job to hold off Pedrosa, and defend his first position.
Pedrosa will be a serious contender for the title.... well, I think so.....
I think rider of the day goes to Dani Pedrosa.......

Here are quite a few interesting facts regarding the season opener:
~ Capirossi's victory means that he leads the championship for the very first time in his career
~ Capirossi's win also means that Ducati lead the constructors for the first time
~ This was the first victory at Jerez for both Ducati and Bridgestone
~ Pedrosa's second was the first time a rider has reached the podium on his debut since Japan '98
~ It was the first time that Bridgestone had ever occupied all three steps of the podium.
~ It is only the second time that ducati has had a one-two on the grid, the first also being at Jerez back in '03
~ It was the first time since Misano '93 that no Honda bikes occupied the front row of the grid.....
Well I thought it was pretty interesting.....
