Rossi now stands a chance of clinching the title in the next race at Motegi after taking nine out of a possible eleven victories....I am not too happy bout this though...(Rossi is not my favourite rider[soon to be driver] AT ALL) I wish Sete would win the rest of the races... just to show that he still has some fight left in him.. 8)

Maybe if Rossi doesnt resort to pushing and shoving he can win

Rossi is certainly not on the christmas card list of the other riders. It has been such a damn shame to see him adopt these tactics, as he is a fine rider.

When you think about it...even shumacher resorted to dirty tactics in order to win...(I am not supporting him for it though)....they are both pretty much alike(Rossi and Shumi)....they will both do anything to win.

I'm really not enjoying MotoGP this year compared to previous years as the resuts are so ho...hum.. predictable.

Rossi first daylight second.

It's probably similar to when Giacomo Agostini was dominating the world championship on his MV Augusta. (long time before my time)

It is getting rather predictable, isnt it....

That was also a long way before my time

Hopefully Sete will come through with a win in Japan....if he does win it, then we may need to go visit the bar with julian

Elias goes under the knife

Post by <T-K> » Fri Sep 02, 2005 3:33 am

Fortuna Yamaha rider Toni Elias underwent a minor operation on Wednesday afternoon at the Dexeus hospital in Barcelona, to have a screw removed from his left wrist.

The surgery was carried out by forearm specialist Xavier Mir, who previously operated on the Spaniard when he suffered a triple wrist fracture in a test at le Mans earlier this year. Elias should recover quickly from the operation and will (supposedly) be fully fit for the next round of the MotoGP Championship, the Japanese GP which will take place at Motegi in a fortnight.

This break in the season should be good to develop some more bits for all teams. It may break the Yamaha stranglehold on wins in the MotoGP season. Don't expect miracles though.

Team Roberts? manager Chuck Aksland has confirmed that the Anglo-American outfit will not take part in the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix to be held at the Twin Ring Motegi in two weeks' time.

The partnership between the independent manufacturer Team Roberts and their Austrian engine supplier KTM came to an abrupt end over the summer break, with the factory deciding that they would not be providing the team with engines for the rest of the season. Confusion ensued, and the team then resorted to using last year?s V5 to race at Brno with Jeremy McWilliams on board.

Chuck Aksland:
?We will not be racing in Japan, and will possibly miss most of or all of the remaining flyaway races, We were prepared for these events with the KTM engine, however, they have decided to breach their commitments by stopping. There was not sufficient time or resource to prepare the V5s for the flyaway races, so it looks like at the moment we will focus on Valencia,?
