Mark Larkham, owner of Orrcon Racing, has confirmed the he is extending the contracts of Jason Bargwanna and Mark Winterbottom for the 2006 season.
This removes the speculation that Winterbottom could step into the Ambrose seat at SBR. He is under contract to SBR, and on loan to Larkham, and is to remain there for at least one more season.

Tony Longhurst has bought the franchise of Team Dynamik and will re-establish Longhurst Racing in Queensland for 2006 with a 2 Car team.
Team Dynamik will continue to field a 2 car WOW entry for the remainder of 2005.
Who will drive the Longhurst cars in 2006??????

Tod is staying where he is for the next season at least. (So far, anyway, he has signed a contract). I believe Ford were pursuing him a tad vigorously, but to the best of my knowledge no team was actually named.

A name that has just been floated as a replacement for Marcus Ambrose is that of Jason Richards. Following his fine performance at Sandown. and outstanding effort at The Mountain, the off-contract Kiwi is rumoured to be the target of more than one high profile team, including SBR.

Steven Ellery has been dumped by Triple 888 racing. Or to put it in a similar vein to Roland dane, Team principal,...they are not renewing the option for Steves services next year, while acknowledging his skill and expertise.
Still sounds like he has been awarded the DCM to me :(

Interestingly the only team that could afford to buy out Tods contract would be triple 888.......but why would Tod leave a team that has just provided him with a Mountain taming car ? Mind you, Skaife is not the easiest Ego Team Boss ( ETB) to drive for........... I think I need an Aspirin. :?

Wonder why DC and Webber are continually circling each other, like young bull v old bull ?
Perhaps because they are very similar characters, and are possibly the only two drivers who would recognise any of those words
