| 07 December: Testing at the Jerez circuit Circuit: Jerez circuit – 4.428 km First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit, in Andalusia. Today, the two official test drivers, Luca Badoer and Marc Gene were on track, the first at the wheel of an F2005, fitted with an engine modified to conform to the 2006 technical regulations. He worked mainly on the development of Bridgestone tyres, but the session ended early because of a mechanical failure on the right front corner of the car. Up to that point, the Italian had covered 40 laps, the quickest in a time of 1.20.840. Gene drove an F2004, carrying out reliability testing on the new V8 engine, in conjunction with Shell. The Spaniard covered a total of 84 laps, setting a best time of 1.19.692. Testing continues at this circuit tomorrow, again with Luca Badoer and Marc Gene on track.
