Formula 1 Team Technical Heads ruled against an early introduction of the radical rear wing proposed by the FIA
earlier this year.
Following an initial meeting between the FIA and Formula 1 Team Technical Directors, a spokesperson from the FIA indicated that whilst the discussions were very positive, the Formula 1 Technical
Directors felt that more time is needed to optimise the proposal and an implementation date of 2007 was too early.
Renault's Director of Engineering Pat Symonds indicated that a lot more work is needed and the regulations need to
be very carefully worded.
